1992 Chevy 350 Rebuild

I'm finally getting back to blogging and my most recent adventure has been engine rebuilding. This engine was a 1992 small block Chevy (SBC) 350 with a blown head gasket. Here is a list of the goodies that went into this rebuild:

  • Stock single piece crankshaft block.
  • Vortec pistons, standard size.
  • New rings.
  • New cam bearings.
  • New rod journal and crank main bearings.
  • Cylinders were ball-honed.
  • Crank was in great shape.
  • Cylinders heads used were 081 Chevy 305 heads fully rebuilt.
  • New timing set.
  • Truck-large torque camshaft.
  • New lifters and push rods.
  • Felpro head gaskets.
I took lots of pictures so here they are.
